living minimally

i've been on a minimalist kick for the past few months. i feel like the few things i own are the only things i need in my life right now. i'm always looking for ways to get rid of crap i don't need. for example, i literally gave away maybe a quarter of my clothes to the salvation army just now (for those who have seen my wardrobe, they know this is a huge amount of clothing). i got rid of useless cards in my wallet, so there's virtually nothing in it anymore. and i've even been tempted to get rid of my ipod, since i don't really use it these days...i think i have like 2 albums on it? what a waste of 30 gb. i'll keep it around, just in case. also, am i the only one not all over apple's nuts for one of those new ipods or an iphone? guess so...anywrrrz...

whenever i leave the condo, i'm happy knowing that i have the minimum amount of things on me (less to lose when you're as forgetful as me, don'tcha know...). as long as i have my phone, wallet and keys on me, i'm set.

i really believe that if i were to up and move anywhere, all i'd need are my laptop, my recording equipment, some clothes, and my toothbrush. everything else is just accessories.

sidenote: i'd give my right arm to live in one of those minimalist homes you see on commercials all the time...*daydream...*
